25th March 2017, 10:30

Dirtlow Rake

Event Description:

Saturday 25th March 2017

A full-day meeting to record lichens on Dirtlow Rake, Hope. In addition to the lead spoil this disused lead rake has a variety of limestone habitats which should provide a wide range of lichens. Currently there are only a handful of records for this site.

Meet and park at 10.30 am at grid ref SK1554 8211. This is at the wide junction of Siggate (an unclassified road out of Castleton) and the 'green road' up from Pindale. It is best approached from the Market Place in Castleton.

Look on your OS Dark Peak map or put the grid reference into www.Streetmap.com to spot the meeting point.
