The BLS bibliographic database is intended to hold details of a wide range of published and unpublished materials (books, journal articles,leaflets etc.) pertaining to lichens. At the moment it hold only a few items to demonstrate capabilities. Sort the database entries by clicking on the tabs - Year, Author etc. Click again to reverse the sort order. Clicking on the "Search" link opens up a search box - enter your search term and click the button "Biblio search". This also reveals a "Show Only Items Where" link - click on this to reveal a set of boxes with drop-down lists allowing you to filter the database entries (for example, restricting the items displayed to those matching a keyword "chemistry"). Click the reset button or the "Clear all filters" link to show all of the entries once more. Click on a title link to see all details of an entry. You can export single entries or groups of entries in a range of standard bibliographic exchange formats - BibTex, RTF etc. - click on the corresponding link. Click on the "Google Scholar" link to check if there are further details or even full texts available on Google Scholar.
