26th March 2020, 10:30
Lichen meeting to Wentworth Castle Gardens and Parkland (National Trust)
- a joint meeting with the Sorby Invertebrate Group
Thursday 26 March 2020
Leader: Steve Price, email: firstname.lastname@example.org
The parkland and gardens of Wentworth Castle are ripe for study and the National Trust are keen to know what is on this relativly new property. There are no lichen records at all and very little knowledge of spring invertebrates.
Meet at 10.30 at the Wentworth Castle main car park (grid ref SE320034). There are plenty of brown tourist signs. The NT have kindly offered us free entry to the property. They would like to have some idea of the numbers attending so if planning to come along please inform Steve Price (email@example.com).
Towards the end of the day we can use the cafe as an opportunity to share knowedge of our finds and perhaps also indulge in a National Trust pot of tea and a scone.
