Cennau Cymru field meeting

Steve Chambers has kindly agreed to lead a field meeting for this group on either Sat 27th or Sun 28th April, with the usual caveat of selecting the best day weather-wise nearer the time. The meeting will focus on the small upland stream gulleys on the S-side of the Cwmystwyth valley. The Nant y Cae & Nant y Cae Isaf on Llechwedd Canol between Craig Cwmtinwen & Craig Ddu, centred on SN821745. The best parking place looks to be on the north side of the road 200 yards east past house called Tynddol Isaf at NGR SN809748; this looks to be big enough for 6 cars so car share where possible. Steve says there’s also space for parking on the roadside by the cattle grid at SN832752 where Steve will meet the group. There’s a bit of a walk westwards from there (c. 1 km) across the hillside to reach the streams.
