There are many areas of this region with have few lichen records. The Glen Morriston Pinewood remnants have not been revisited since the 80’s, many scattered and clumps of trees have not had a visit. The dominant geology is metamorphic with scattered outcrops of igneous rocks and there is wide altitudinal variation, and lots of rivers and lochs hence plenty to accommodate all interests and ability levels.
Meeting Base
The meeting base is Dundreggan Rewilding Centre, Dundreggan, Glenmoriston, Inverness IV63 7YJ. A modern thriving centre with excellent facilities, catering for all aspects of natural history.
Accommodation and costs
The Accommodation is 20 rooms split in to 2 wings, all rooms are twins/doubles, some rooms can be used for single occupancy depending on demand. Standard room are £52.50pppn single or £60 for two per night. Plus rooms are £67.50 single or £75 for two. Breakfast is included in the room fee.
The restaurant provides a lunch box (£8), a catered lunch from £13 and evening meal from £13.
There is a microwave in the meeting room, and a communal fridge on each wing.

And pay a deposit of £50 in to the British Lichen Society (not the BLS) at CAF Bank Sort code 40-52-40 A/C No. 00012363 and reference the payment Dundreggan.
Microscope Work
A very large meeting room has been reserved for the duration of the meeting for microscope work and presentations. The BLS microscopes will be available for communal use.
Transport
There are good bus, rail and air service to Inverness. The Inverness to Skye bus goes past Dundreggan twice a day, this is a request stop, inform the bus driver of the stop on embarkation.

Local organisers: Maria Jose Chesa Marro, University Catalonia & Antonio Gomes Bolea, University Barcelona. Both organisers will be with us throughout our stay.
This meeting gives the opportunity to visit new habitats and encounter a diverse range of substrates. The locations include: La Vall de la Castellfollit with siliceous rocks and Pine and Oak forest, Pyrenees Tossa d’Apl, a calcareous range, Monserrat with its famous conglomerates, La Vallde la Pena calcareous and siliceous substrates with Pines and Oak, La Segarra Tora with an interesting terricolous flora on Chalk and a visit to the Prades Mountains to conclude the week.
Meeting Base & Accommodation
The meeting base is Hostel de Senglar in Espluga del Francoli. Single, twin/double and Family are all available, costs are 42, 66 & 78 € respectively. Meal prices are; Breakfast 6€, Picnic 10€ and Dinner 15€.
A large microscope room and meeting room is available to us.
Transport
The local organisers have suggested that we hire a mini bus for the duration of our stay, the cost of this is 600€ per day. We will make a decision about transport one we have an idea of numbers.
Return flights to Barcelona are £200 to £250

Cennau Cymru field meeting
Location: Plumlumon Uplands, Ceredigion
Time: 10.30am
Date: The date is weather dependent either Sunday 12th November or Sunday 19th November. As previously, Tracey Lovering will confirm with those interested a few days before the date.
This is a joint meeting with Cambrian Mountains Society with a focus on upland siliceous rocks.

This meeting is in memory of Alan Orange and will have a focus on calcareous rock walls and buildings on the Limestone Coast.
